Alta Murrieta

Alta Murrieta is a housing community that was developed during the late 1980s to the early 1990s. This neighborhood can be found just past a shopping district on the corner where the Escondido Freeway intersects with Murrieta Springs Road. It can be entered through Alta Murrieta Drive and Whitewood Road through Murrieta Springs Road.

Homes in Alta Murrieta are on winding streets with numerous cul-de-sacs, and mostly have Spanish and Mediterranean design influences. Amenities include a park with football and baseball fields, children’s play area, and picnic tables.

Bear Creek

A private, gated golf community located on top of the hills, Bear Creek provides its residents with luxury estates influenced by Spanish and Mediterranean architecture, with spacious living spaces on sprawling lots and magnificent views all around.

Amenities include a clubhouse, swimming pool, fitness center, spa, tennis courts, and bocce courts, as well as a renowned, 18-hole golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus.

Central Park

Tucked away in a secluded area to the east of Winchester Road atop the expansive Murrieta foothills, the residential neighborhood of Central Park can be accessed through entrances along Murrieta Springs Road.

Consisting of 521 homes divided into two main neighborhoods, The Commons and Hillcrest Estates, Central Park residents enjoy spectacular views and amenities that include a clubhouse, swimming pool, spa, sports field, tennis courts, and parks.

Clarendon Hills

The neighborhood of Clarendon Hills is right along Date Street in the Vintage Reserve Development of Murrieta, close to the border of Temecula where Harveston is located to the south.

Clarendon Hills is comprised entirely of one story single-family homes with 3-car garages, and the homes have distinctive Early California, Mission, and Craftsman design influences. There’s also a 5-acre community park, the Vintage Reserve Park, that’s conveniently within walking distance of all homes in the neighborhood.

Copper Canyon

One of Murrieta’s highly desired communities, Copper Canyon is located across Bear Creek, with entrances along Clinton Keith Road and Washington Avenue. This large master-planned community is made up of several different neighborhoods developed by different builders, with homes constructed between 1998 and 2001.

Numerous parks with walking trails can be found inside the community, including Copper Canyon Park, an 8-acre park featuring sports fields, a basketball court, bike path, picnic tables, and children’s tot lot. Cole Canyon Elementary School is also located inside Copper Canyon.

Four Seasons

Four Seasons is a 55+ active adult community offering 524 homes with a choice of nine single-family floor plans and designs.

Residents enjoy world-class amenities that include The Lodge, a five-star recreational complex featuring a swimming pool, spa, fitness center, basketball courts, tennis courts, paddleball courts, and ballroom.

Greer Ranch

Located on the Murrieta foothills, Greer Ranch is considered one of the more prestigious neighborhoods in the city.

This gated community offers Spanish and Mediterranean-style homes with panoramic views of the Murrieta Valley, along with quality amenities that include a luxurious clubhouse, swimming pool, spa, children’s playground, 24-hour security, and a network of nature trails.

La Cresta

This residential community is near the Santa Rosa Plateau Ecological Reserve, and offers homes with lot sizes that are 5 acres and above, making it ideal for ranch and equestrian properties. Home prices start around the $500,000 range and can go up to millions of dollars.

Residents in La Cresta enjoy serene living with wide open spaces and miles of horse trails that meander throughout the community, as well as panoramic views of the surrounding areas.

Mapleton

One of the newer communities in Murrieta, Mapleton is along Keller Road just east of Interstate 215. Real estate options include single-family residences and 2-bedroom townhomes in a gated community called Willow Haven, which were constructed during the early 2000s and built on streets that mostly end in cul-de-sacs.

Amenities include a pool and spa for Willow Haven residents, and the 10-acre Mapleton Park that features sports fields, a volleyball court, picnic area, tot lot, and bike path.

Murrieta Heights

This private, gated neighborhood is located to the north of Clinton Keith Road, behind the communities of Corte Bella and Montserrat. Murrieta Heights offers 107 semi-custom homes on quarter-acre lots, with most providing spectacular views of the surrounding areas.

Four types of one-story and two-story floor plans are available, with exteriors influenced by English Country, Classic California, and Mission styles.

Murrieta Oaks

Lennar built this housing development south of Clinton Keith Road, with the entrance through Murrieta Oaks Avenue. Homes are lovely single-family residences ranging in size from 2,000 to 4,000 square feet, and are evenly spaced out on gently curving landscaped streets.

Amenities include a park with picnic tables and a children’s playground, with a shopping area and school just minutes away.

Olive Hill Ranch

Olive Hill Ranch is a private gated community located along Ivy Street in the southwestern part of Murrieta. Offering 44 custom homes on one-acre lots, Olive Hill Ranch residents enjoy luxury living in relative seclusion with sweeping views of the Murrieta Valley.

Horses are also allowed in this community, and most of the city’s amenities are just minutes away.

Rancho Bella Vista

Located just across the community of Roripaugh Ranch in Temecula along Murrieta Hot Springs Road, the residential neighborhood of Rancho Bella Vista is one of Murrieta’s up and coming places to live.

Rancho Bella Vista’s single-family homes have mostly Spanish and Mediterranean design influences in the exteriors, and are evenly laid out on curving streets with numerous cul-de-sacs.

The Colony

An active adult community built around the California Oaks Golf Club, The Colony offers about 1,500 single detached homes with two to three bedrooms and a variety of open floor plans. Spanish and Mediterranean influences can be seen in the design of the homes, with details like tiled roofs and stucco exteriors, and all homes feature lovely views of the greenbelt or the fairways.

Residents at The Colony enjoy resort style living and amenities like a clubhouse, fitness center, swimming pool, tennis courts, shuffleboard, beauty salon, as well as several miles of walking and biking trails.

Vintage Reserve

Vintage Reserve is a residential neighborhood located off to the west of Margarita Road, and can be entered through Torrey Pines Road.

Homes in this community have a distinctive Spanish and Mediterranean architectural style, and are nicely laid out on landscaped streets that mostly end in cul-de-sacs. A 4-acre park is nearby, which features a children’s playground and picnic tables.

Wynfield

A guard-gated equestrian community located to the west of Interstate 15 along Guava Street, Wynfield’s main entrance is through Bay Meadows Way.

Comprised entirely of sprawling estate properties, residents and horse enthusiasts will enjoy ranch-style living that features equestrian zoning with 2.5-acre parcels that are ideal for swimming pools, tennis courts, spacious landscaped gardens, and horse corrals.
